Gusto Sports Management

About

Gusto Sports Management was established in May 2019 by Paul Storer and exists as a sports management agency to manage talent with integrity.

Founding Director Paul Storer has experience both within the game and in commercial business and, after extensive research into what players actually want from their agent, decided to take the leap and Gusto Sports Management Ltd was born.

As part of the research we spoke to players at all levels of the game, from the Premier League down to National League North, including current and former internationals in order to find out what they want from their agents, what they do and don’t like, and most importantly, how they would improve the service.

The key point to emerge was that of communication in both the bad times and the good. Indeed, it was felt more important that communication between agent and player was integral during the bad times whether that is due to an injury, being out of the first team or, being out of contract. Honesty at all times was also given to us as a major factor by players as to what they wanted to see from their agents.

It is on these principles that Gusto Sports Management is built. We pride ourselves on creating first class relationships with our clients, taking every opportunity to watch them in action and to speak to them after every game, not just about their performances but also about their lives, any issues they may be facing and to offer guidance wherever possible.

We don’t want to limit ourselves to men’s football, we have a keen interest in the Ladies game and also experience within other sports too.

Services

Gusto Sports Management provides a full range of services to our clients within the sporting world. We do this by holding an initial meeting where we can get to know the player, find out what is important to them and really develop a relationship to see if Gusto is the right fit for them.

As well as the things that you would expect from any professional agency such as contract negotiations, transfer negotiations and sourcing clubs, we also work with a number of preferred partners offering everything from financial and legal advice, contacts for cars, personal commercial image rights deals and health & mental wellbeing advice.

We are available 24/7 for our clients and promise an open, honest and friendly service at all times.

As well as working with footballers, Gusto Sports Management have a strong skillset in working with coaches and managers and those individuals looking to make the transition towards the end of their playing careers.

GUSTO SPORTS MANAGEMENT UPDATE – 30/04/20

We, as a country and as an industry, are in unprecedented times with no firm knowledge of when our lives will return to normal and, what that normal looks like. As a business we have been having regular conference calls to try, as best as we can, to plan for whatever eventualities there are especially within the football world.

Gusto is still very much open for business! We are keeping in touch with our valued clients every week and are always at the end of a phone or Zoom to help them with any advice, or just to be there for them. This is an uncertain time for footballers, some leagues have announced their plans while others are still working on them and for players about to be out of contract, this can be a difficult time.

As well as being here for our clients, we are also here for any players who don’t currently have representation. There is no obligation whatsoever to sign with us, we’re just here for a chat and any advice you may require at this time. We are experts on contractual issues, we have contacts at a large number of clubs and a client base whom we genuinely care about and, if we can help anybody at this uncertain and difficult time then we are happy to do so.

Stay Safe and look after yourselves,

Team Gusto
